I think what hurts most is realising how far you moved from Allāh in pursuit of the things you always knew would never give you true satisfaction and peace.
and even then, while you walked away from Him, your Lord remained..
Yusuf عليه السلام knew that all the doors were closed. And yet, he ran towards them because he knew Allah would open them for him. If all the doors seem closed to you, keep running. For you and Yusuf عليه السلام have the same Allah.
Allah has given me everything I need for this chapter in my life. Sometimes I feel ill equipped for the future, but that’s because there is time until then. And when the future comes, I will find that Allah will have given me everything I need for that chapter. For now I must focus on now, and remember that nothing is missing. He has given me everything I need.

You leave it in the hands of the Almighty and if it is meant to be, it will be.
